A familiar face to those of us who enjoyed his talented percussion on our bimah several years ago, David is a graduate of Shefa Gold’s Kol Zimra Chant Leadership Program, and a composer of sacred music. We are thrilled to have David begin this series that will also feature area Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, and Christian teachers. Three of his compositions were winners of the Shalshelet International Festival of New Jewish Liturgical Music. His two Hebrew Chant CD’s, “Kavanot” and “Kumi Ori”, are available through iTunes or amazon.com
Kumi Ori, “Arise and Shine” is my second collection of Hebrew Chants, and provides an opportunity to go even deeper into sacred intentions from the Jewish liturgy and the Hebrew bible. Each chant provides the opportunity for soul work, as we explore themes of return, holiness, courage, and many others.
“Who is Wise….. One who learns from all people!” These words of the Sages inspire our study of World Religions throughout this year. Classes are free & open to all.
