Kosher food could be game changer for Penn State

The mission to bring kosher food to Penn State dates back to 2007, when Jeremy Weisblatt — then a Penn State student and now rabbi at Temple Ohav Shalom in Allison Park — commenced discussions with university officials in conjunction with the Muslim Student Association. Weisblatt thought the university might be receptive to offering meals that would satisfy both kosher and halal requirements.
