Jamie Eisner

Advisor for Teen Experience

Jamie Eisner is ecstatic to start this new journey as Temple Ohav Shalom’s Youth Director. Her excitement is not surprising given the fact that TOS has been such a huge part of her life, starting in preschool. Jamie continued her Jewish education with her religious studies through Sunday and Hebrew school, along with preparing for and celebrating her Bat Mitzvah here. Jamie stayed involved in the Jewish community through high school with Friendship Circle, Ohav Youth Group, and Diller Teen Fellows Leadership Program. Jamie obtained a degree in Specialized Business and Paralegal Studies and is currently a Teen Engagement Coordinator at the Greater Pittsburgh Jewish Community Center as well as the student intern for the Diller Teen Fellows. Jamie accepted all of these Jewish teen leadership opportunities because of her passion for investing in the next Jewish generation.

Jamie is excited to join with and help lead the TOS youth on their Jewish journey.

Sara Stock Mayo

Director of Music and Ruach

Sara Stock Mayo is delighted to be joining the community at Temple Ohav Shalom.  She served as musical director/cantorial soloist and chaplain at Temple Sinai for eleven years and has spent the past three years on the bimah regularly at Beth El and Temple David, along with leading family and tot services at Beth Shalom. Sara previously has served as cantorial soloist at both Kolot Chayeinu in Brooklyn, NY and Makom, NY on Long Island.  Sara is a trained drama therapist and currently runs the improvisational theatre company, Pittsburgh Playback Theatre, which is dedicated to honoring audience stories in communities throughout the region. She also leads the teen group: Rosh Hodesh, Its a Girls Thing through the JCC and is a co-producer and director of ShpielBurgh Productions which creates original, community wide productions based on Torah texts. Sara is also a trained spiritual director, recently finishing a program through the Yedidya Center in CA and is the co-leader of the spiritual community Chavurat Shirah, which is a project of the newly formed non-profit, Tiferet.  She lives in Squirrel Hill with her husband, Jonathan and her two children Ziv and Elena.
