Temple Ohav Shalom hosts many member groups that strive to bring members together both inside and outside of the Temple to socialize and perform social action.

Women of Ohav Shalom

The Women of Ohav Shalom (formerly known as the “Sisterhood”) provides social functions and service opportunities organized by adult females. Past events include: Fashion Show & Tea the Yom Kippur Break-the-Fast, Chanukah supper, Purim Carnival, community Passover Seder. The Women of Ohav Shalom also operates an extensive Judaica Gift Shop.

TOS Men’s Club

The Men’s Club provides a forum for male participation in various functions, activities and social events, as well as assisting the Women of Ohav Shalom. All adult male Temple members are welcome to participate. Past events include: golf outings, fund-raisers, card games, billiards, bowling, beer tasting and community service. The Club meets approximately 4-8 times a year and has over 50 members.

North Hills Hadassah

Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, is a volunteer women’s organization whose members are motivated and inspired to strengthen their partnership with Israel, ensure Jewish continuity and realize their potential as a dynamic force in American society. Help keep TOS Beautiful!

We need volunteers to help maintain our building and property. The Temple is our place of worship, learning, and community. We need volunteers to show it the love and care that it deserves. Lawn Mowing: We have an imminent need for volunteers to mow the lawn. A very nice lawn mower is available. All we need are a few people to start it up and push it around the yard on a lazy afternoon. Tired of watching your teenagers play video games? Send ‘m over to the Temple. As an added incentive, each mowing will come with a $25 gift card redeemable at Whole Foods. Please sign up right away on ShulCloud (templeohavshalom.shulcloud.com) or contact Jackie Leicht (jleicht@templeohavshalom.org) to schedule. Gardening: Attention all you gardeners out there! I love seeing beautiful flowers and plants in our front beds and in the playground area when I’m walking in for services or hanging out in the back yard. What a wonderful feeling it instills in our visitors, members, preschool families, and guests. The beds could use some attention.
