Through these workshops families can better appreciate the significance and relevance of the bar/bat mitzvah. The outline of the Shabbat morning service, how to write a d’var torah (intepretation) and choosing a tzedakah project are all part of the program.
Junior/Senior High School (Grades 7-10)
The goal of the High School program is to help students gain a comprehensive basic Jewish education and to generate the energy and commitment to maintain a lifetime of Jewish study and practice. Additionally, The Kabbalat Torah program for grade 10 students includes planning and running the Kabbalat Torah service, writing a statement of faith and a class Mitzvah project.
Madrikh (Grades 11-12)
This class meets with the Rabbi once a month. Students explore critical Jewish issues such as ethics, values and making life choices. There are also several field trips and special events.
