Shalom Tots

Picture
Shalom Tots is an initiative of Temple Ohav Shalom for families with children ages five and younger. The goal of Shalom Tots is to welcome, engage, and give young families in the community the opportunity to connect with each other while creating a foundation for the Jewish identity in our children. Shalom Tots offers a collection of programming, such as Friday night Tot Shabbat, Saturday morning Shabbat Sha-Brunch, and joint programming with PJ Library. We are continually growing and adapting to the needs of the families at TOS and in the community. For more information about Shalom Tots and to hear about our upcoming events, please email [email protected].

Ohav Youth

Temple Ohav Shalom is proud to partner with our B’nei Brith Youth Organizaion (BBYO) chapter, Gesharim, in the Keystone Mountain Region (KMR). BBYO offers Jewish teens in grades 8-12 an incredible opportunity to connect with peers, explore their Jewish identity, and build lasting friendships. Through chapter events, regional gatherings, rituals, conventions, and more, participants can discover their own Kehilah (community) within the vibrant Jewish community of Pittsburgh.

In addition to our programming for high schoolers, TOS hosts a variety of activities throughout the year for children and families of all ages. From our lively Purim carnival and Shalom Tots/TOSCEL programs to cozy campfire Shabbatot and beyond, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and feel connected within the TOS family.

For more information about our youth programs or to get involved, please contact Grant Halasz, VP of Youth.  We’re here to answer your questions and help you join the fun!

Women of Ohav Shalom (WOS) is a welcoming community where adult women of all ages come together for friendship, connection, and service. From brunches and dinners out to casual lunches and game nights, WOS offers many ways to connect.  We also help shape synagogue life by hosting the Yom Kippur Break-the-Fast and organizing the annual hamantaschen bake sale for Purim.
