We are pleased to announce that the parking lot of TOS will be a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) pickup site for Harvest Valley Farms! The pickup day is Thursday, 3pm to 6pm throughout the season. Joining a CSA is a great way to obtain fresh fruits and veggies (and even grass fed beef and eggs!) for you and your family. It’s like going to the farmers’ market! You pay a fee at the beginning of the season, and then throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall months, once each week, you visit the pickup location and select a “share” of items. A typical share includes two items that are required (because the farm is currently harvesting them, so they have a lot) along with five other items. Items might be a head of cabbage, a pint of berries or tomatoes, a melon, and so on. Each week there are a TON of choices, and everything is fresh picked that week. If you’re interested in supporting local agriculture and joining this CSA, check out Harvest Valley Farms and click on the CSA link at the top. Can’t wait for Spring!

Reggio Emilia inspired, we serve children from 18 months to 4 years of age. We are excited about the addition of an outdoor mud kitchen, a place where the children will be able to explore nature hands-on, and we hope to create a storytelling garden to facilitate storytelling and literacy. Working with Jennifer Mars, our studio educator, we will be exploring a variety of materials from paper, graphic materials and paints, to clay, recycled materials and loose parts! Within each of the classrooms, we will have individual projects that are guided by the children’s interests and inquiries. Rosh Hashanah coincides with the beginning of our new year, and what a wonderful time to revisit the activities of the past year and welcome new families and friends to our school!
